I.A. Richards
I.A. Richards was a British literary critic, a theologist, and a psychology student. He tried to create a language that would be simple to use and understand in order to close the gap between the world’s language barriers. Richards proposed a new type of rhetoric which was based on how words work instead of just what they mean. He wanted people to understand each other more effectively and to be able to understand conversations clearly without misinterpretation. I.A. Richards wanted people to really understand what is meant when something is said.
