People take their pets to a veterinarian to receive checkups or treatments. But, sometimes the vet will say they can’t treat the animal because the owners don’t have the money it takes. Aren’t veterinarians supposed to help all living creatures?
Animals end up in Humane Societies so they can find a better life, only to be put down after a number of weeks. They use a humane way of doing this, but is it really humane to take the life of an animal who apparently would have been better off on the streets?
My plan is to discuss the opinions I have heard between the two of these topics. What is cruel about them and what is just about them. I will give reasons why vets and humane societies do the things that they do.

Very informative topic. It's narrow enough to get good details and provide proper analysis, so it will be a really interesting paper.

I can tell you're very passionate about this topic. I always wondered the same thing, I think this is a very insightful topic to elaborate on.
ReplyDeleteI like the topic, however, as Tyler said, I would make a more informative title. If you just looked at that title for a second you wouldn't have any idea what the paper was about. Just maybe incorporate what you're trying to talk about a little into your title and you'll be good.
ReplyDeleteI agree... I think the title could be a little better but i like the topic. i was actually desiding to do this topic or testing animals haha. I am glad you are doing this topic, i would like to learn more about why it costs so much to save an animals life and why vets just cant do it. I know all the medicine and tools cost a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many questions and some seem to be at cross purposes, but they actually need to be brought together. Fro example, the issue of cost will weigh heavily on whether or not or how long the humane society will keep animals before putting them down. It might be important to look into no kill shelters to see how they absorb the cost of keeping these animals alive.
